Silver Dollar City Announces Miner’s Mountain Express for 2027

Silver Dollar City has announced Miner’s Mountain Express, a Mack Rides mine train coaster will open in spring 2027 as part of a $150 million investment in the Branson park.

The coaster will last 3 minutes and 18 seconds and include 15 airtime moments — more than any other coaster at the park. Riders board runaway mine cars that race across Daredevil Pass (a new section of Silver Dollar City) , dodge boulders and plunge past a flooded mine shaft while searching for a lost entrance to Marvel Cave.

An actual mine headframe

As you would expect with a new attraction at Silver Dollar City, the park is not just adding a basic family coaster but rather one of the most immersive, themed coasters in the world. Standing over the ride will be a genuine 15-storey headframe salvaged from a working Missouri mine — not a fabricated one. The story draws on the real Marble Cave Mining Company, which worked the site in the 1880s before prospectors discovered the cave contained no marble at all and renamed it Marvel Cave.

Part of something larger

The coaster is part of a $150 million investment in the park which include the opening of the Silver Dollar City Resort in 2027.
