Tornado Springs at Paultons Park- Review

Tornado Springs is the brand new area at Paultons Park. This area is home to 8 new rides. Tornado Springs was designed and created by some of the leading groups in the industry. Paultons Park invested £12 million to bring the land to life. The land is 4 acres in size and is themed to a 1950s resort town located in the American desert. The town is cheery, but isolated and unfortunately in the path of many tornadoes. However, the families that live in the springs have learnt to harness these and use them to their advantage. The road going through the town, Route 83, was inspired by the opening date of Paultons Park, May 17 1983. 

The major attraction in the land is Storm Chaser. Storm Chaser is the only Mack Rides spinning coaster in the UK. The coaster has a maximum height of 19.5 metres and a top speed of 59.4km/h. This coaster is an exact clone of Sierra Sidewinder at Knott’s Berry Farm in California. We think Storm Chaser is the perfect addition to Paultons Park as it offers enough thrills to excite older children but is still suitable for younger guests aged 4 and over. 

Other attractions in the land include the Cyclonator, a Zamperla Frisbee, Buffalo Falls, a dingy water slide with three drops, Trekking Tractors, a Tornado themed tractor ride and the Rio Grande Train. The Rio Grande Train has been at the park since 1986 but it has been extensively refurbished as part of this project. 

The land is also home to 3 eating locations and a gift shop. The Route 83 Diner is the stand out eating location in the new area. The Diner serves American style food and offers both a breakfast and lunch service. 

Paultons Park have done an incredible job with Tornado Springs. The area is fantastically themed and offers a good array of rides suitable for both the young and the old, along with a good selection of dining options. The atmosphere created in the land by the cute theming and joyful music is sure to put a smile on your face. The soundtrack has been produced by IMAscore and truly ties the land’s theming together perfectly!Tornado Springs is certainly one of the most complete, high quality lands to be found in any theme park in the UK.
