Walking Dead- The Ride at Thorpe Park

Thorpe Park recently announced that the ride X will be rethemed to the Walking Dead. This will be the first Walking Dead roller coaster in the world. Like many of the episodes of the hit show, the ride will be based around fleeing from walkers. The ride X at Thorpe Park currently feels a bit old and outdated. Bringing the Walking Dead theme to this rollercoaster should give the ride a new lease of life. Even with the viewing numbers for the TV show on the decline, the Walking Dead name will still bring many guests into the park. The TV show still holds the record for the highest total number of viewers in cable television history.

The ride is set to include many special effects. At the entrance of the attraction will be a replica of the famous prison watch tower from the show. Throughout the ride guests will visit many of the iconic locations shown in the TV show. The ride will take guests into places such as the prison and Alexandria. Thorpe Park have said that the ride will stimulate many of the bodies senses, including smell.

The ride is set to be a very scary attraction and will not be suitable for guests under 13. Even waiting in line for the ride is set to be a terrifying experience. The queue for the ride is set to include many scary elements and most probably have actors jumping out at you.

The roller coaster will not be the only Walking Dead themed thing at the park. This year at Thorpe Park is the year of the Walking Dead. Throughout the year, Thorpe Park are running various different experiences and events themed to the Walking dead. Many of these experiences will only run for a limited time.
