Top 5 Things To Do At Pixar Pier This Summer
Paradise Pier at Disney’s California Adventure is being re-themed to Pixar Pier. The newly imagined area is set to open on the 23rd of June. In recent weeks Disney have released more information about what guests should expect to find at Pixar Pier.
Here we will look at the top 5 things to do at Pixar Pier this summer.
1.Go on the Incredicoaster
California Screamin is being rethemed to the Incredibles. A new station design is being constructed, as well as visual changes to the carriages. A new soundtrack will be added to the ride. Special effects will be added to the tunnel and a final show scene with Edna Mode and Jack Jack is being built at the end of the ride. Disney have said that all of the Incredibles will appear throughout the ride. With Incredibles 2 being released later this year, the Incredicoaster will be a must do ride for many guests at California Adventure this summer.
2.Have lunch from the Poultry Palace or Angry Dogs
Two new counter service restaurants will open this summer at Pixar pier. The Poultry Palace is based on the Poultry Palace restaurant featured in the Toy StoryToon: Small Fry . This restaurant will be built in the place of Don Tomas Turkey legs. The second counter service restaurant, Angry Dogs, is themed to the character Anger from the Pixar film Inside Out. As suggested in the name, this restaurant will mainly serve hot dogs, hopefully somewhat similar to Casey’s corner.
3.Go on Jessie’s Critter Carousel
The King Triton’s carousel is being re-themed to Jessie’s Critter Carousel. On this carousel guests will get to ride on many cute characters seen in Toy Story 2. These characters will be animals such as : armadillos, raccoons, skunks, rattlesnakes, turtles and deer.
4.Get a snack from Adorable Snowman Frosted treats or Senor Buzz Churros
The Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats will be an ice cream shop inspired by the Abominable Snowman featured in Monsters inc. The normal advice about staying away from the yellow snow may not apply at this store, as supposedly the yellow snow cones at this store will be lemon flavoured dole whip. The other new snack shop, Senor Buzz churros, is inspired by Toy Story 3. At this store, Buzz Lightyear has been switched back into Spanish mode and has started serving churros.
5.Have dinner at the Lamplight Lounge
The Cove Bar and Ariel’s Grotto will be re-themed into a brand new two-story family lounge called the Lamplight Lounge. This new lounge will be designed to look like the workplace of Pixar animators. The walls of the lounge will be covered in sketches of much loved Pixar characters.
