Should U.K. Theme Parks Stay Open All Year?

In the Uk, our theme park season is relatively short. Generally, our parks operate from March through until october. Leaving four, usually more like five, months of the year completely theme park free. For a lot of theme parks in the US, the same can be said. This is the generally accepted theme park season. But, these days, a lot of theme parks have taken the decision to expand their seasons far beyond this. So, why is this and why haven’t ours here in the Uk?
