The Avengers will be assembling at three new marvel areas set to be built at three different Disney parks. These Marvel lands will be built at Disney’s California Adventure, the Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris and at Hong Kong Disneyland.
Disney’s California Adventure
This new area is set to open in 2020. The land will be built on the current site of ‘A Bug’s Land’. ‘A Bugs Land’ will close later this year to make way for construction of new Marvel attractions. The 3D show ‘It’s Tough to be a Bug’ closed permanently as of today. Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout will be part of this new Marvel land. Disney have yet to release any specific information about new rides coming to the park. However, they have stated that the Avengers and Spider-Man will be present in the new area. The poster artwork released by Disney in this new announcement hints at Spider-Man, Dr Strange and Black Panther also being majorly present in this new area.
Walt Disney Studios Park
The new Marvel area in Paris, set to open in 2020, is part of a huge expansion to the resort. Part of this new land will include the reimagining of Rock’n’ Rollercoaster into a new attraction where guests will team up with Iron Man and other popular Avengers. A new poster released by Disney suggests that Hulk and Thor will also be very prevalent characters in this new area.
A new Marvel stunt-show will debut this summer at the Studios park. This show will be part of the Marvel Summer of Super Heroes campaign being run at the park from June 10 to September 30.
Hong Kong Disneyland
The new Marvel area in Hong Kong is part of a larger multi-year plan to expand the park. A Marvel ride already exists at the park in Hong Kong. This ride is the Iron Man Experience which uses a similar ride system to Star Tours. Part of this new Marvel area in Hong Kong will include the reimagining of the Buzz Lightyear shooter ride. This will transform the ride into a new experience in which guests team up with Ant-Man and The Wasp.
