Liberty Tree Tavern Restaurant Magic Kingdom: Review

The Liberty tree tavern is located in Liberty square at the Magic Kingdom in Orlando. The restaurants serves both lunch and dinner. Breakfast is not available at this restaurant. Rooms in the restaurant  are individually themed to reflect famous individual’s from the revolutionary period in the United States. Rooms are themed to individuals such as Benjamin Franklin, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.

During my recent visit to the restaurant, the time from check in to getting seated took a long time. However, this was on an extremely busy day. The waiting area at the Liberty Tree Tavern is a large, spacious air conditioned room and it is a pleasant place to stay and rest while waiting to be seated. You can also help yourself to iced water in the waiting area. The location of this restaurant makes it a challenging place to get too during a parade. I would advise guests to consider this and allow more time getting to the restaurant if their reservation clashes with a parade.

Once seated, the service was very good. The most popular food item at this restaurant is the Patriots platter. Served family style, guests will receive salad and bread to start with. The main course consists of Roasted Turkey Breast, Tukey gravy, Pot Roast, and Carved Pork Roast with Mashed Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables, Herb Stuffing, and House-made Macaroni and Cheese. You can ask your server for more of any dish. You can also request for beef  gravy if you are not keen on the turkey gravy. The dessert served with this platter is the Oooey Gooey Toffee cake which is extremely nice. In my opinion, the food at this restaurant is excellent. The only disappointing food item was the macaroni cheese.

During lunch service, other food items are also available to order but at dinner the platter is the only option. A vegetarian option is always available. The vegetarian option is a pasta with vegetables and marinara sauce. Alcohol is available in this restaurant but expensive. However, this should be expected at the Magic Kingdom. The restaurant is a particularly good place to go around thanksgiving or Christmas.

Summary

Overall, this is a very good restaurant and provides a pleasant environment to get something nice to eat during a long day at the Magic Kingdom. With this restaurant being in the Magic Kingdom, it can be busy and I would advise you to make reservations to avoid any disappointment.
