Isla Magica Guide

Our Isla Magica Guide will help you plan your visit to the park.

Isla Magica opened in 1997 and was built on the former grounds of the 1992 World’s Fair. The park itself is built around a large lake. The park is split into six themed areas based on the discoveries of the 16th and 17th centuries.

Location

Isla Magica is located in Seville, Spain. The park is built on the Cartuja Island which is situated within the urban area of the city and only 5 minutes from the beautiful, historic city centre. Seville is the capital and largest city of the Spanish autonomous community of Andalusia. Andalusia is the southernmost zone of Spain.

Address

Pabellón de España, s/n, 41092 Sevilla, Spain

Time needed at Isla Magica

The park is a full day park. Spending a full day at the park should give you enough time to check out all the attractions you want to see, even during the busy summer months.

Attractions at Isla Magica

The park features over 25 attractions. The main coaster at the park is Jaguar, Spain’s first inverted roller coaster which features 5 inversions. The park also has an interesting pirate themed, interactive dark ride and an Xtended power tower which cycles through different drop programmes throughout the day. Much suited to the hot climate in Spain, there are 3 big water rides at the park; Anaconda, a log flume with 3 drops, Iguazu, an Intamin splash ride with a 15 metre drop and Rapidos del Orinoco, an Intamin raft ride with a track length of 500 metres.

FastPass

Individual fast tracks (called Accesso Expresso) can be bought for all the major attractions at the park. These start at a very low price of 1 euros and are available from the Anaconda shop. The Anaconda Shop is located at the exit of Anaconda, the park’s log flume which is located just past the power tower.

Food at Isla Magica

Isla Magica offers a good selection of both sit down dining and quick service restaurants. Much of your traditional theme park quick service food can be found within the park but on top of that the park serves a few more unique offerings for those not used to visiting parks in Spain.

Our favourite place to eat at the park is the table service restaurant, Il Porto which serves Pasta, Pizza, Grilled meats, plus several traditional Spanish options.

Stuff to do nearby

Located within Isla Magica is a large outdoor water park, Aqua Magica. Admission to the park must be purchased on top of the entrance to Isla Magica. The park features a variety of large slides, a wave pool and a lazy river.

Seville itself is a beautiful city and a popular tourist destination. We definitely recommend that you spend some time checking out the city itself and you can find some great travel guides by doing a quick search on YouTube.

Isla Magica Guide Top Tips

On opening, head to the back of the park and ride Jaguar first.

The park usually opens later than most parks so make sure you check opening times on the parks website before your visit.

Leave the drop tower until the afternoon as its location near the park entrance makes it very busy in the morning.

Pre- book tickets as buying a ticket on the day is a slow process due to the commonly large queues at the box office.

Due to the late opening hours of the park, large queues normally form at the park’s entrance around 30 minutes before the park opens.
