For the past few months I’ve been highly critical of the state of the UK theme park industry, and especially the operational and maintenance issues affecting some of our biggest parks. However, criticism should always be balanced with recognition when improvements are made, and that’s exactly what this video is about.
From improved ride reliability and restored effects on classic attractions like Oblivion, to enhanced theming, returning facilities, better entertainment and encouraging changes behind the scenes, there are genuine signs that Alton Towers may finally be moving in the right direction. While major challenges still remain, particularly around food quality, closed attractions and future investment, the park feels more focused on the guest experience than it has in years.
