How Disney’s Ski Resort Failure Led to the Creation of the Country Bear Jamboree

The Country Bear Jamboree is a classic Disney attraction and it’s hard to imagine the Magic Kingdom without it, but this now iconic show was actually never meant to be in a Disney park. Its origins actually take us back to the time when Disney planned to build an alpine-style resort tucked deep in California’s Sequoia National Park. This was to be Disney’s Mineral King Resort.
