The houses at Halloween Horror Nights 28 were full of amazing easter eggs. From links to past icons of the event to nods to attractions of the past the houses were full of hidden gems. In this article, we have pointed out some of our favourite easter eggs in the houses at Halloween Horror Nights 28.
Easter Eggs in Carnival Graveyard-
- A Jack the Clown sack from HHN25
- Another hidden Jack
- Bones from HHN27
- A box from the old Disaster ride
- The Ice cream cart from Vamp 55
- A Sign from the ‘Run’ house
- A giant fidget spinner from Bill and Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure at HHN27
- Duelling Dragons sign
- Spot these awesome cherubs featuring the familiar faces of two of the Universal creative team, who worked on Carnival Graveyard
- Unconfirmed if this is the exact pump, but it’s certainly similar to the one that featured in the Jaws ride
- A bumber car from the ‘Teeks and Foons’ scarezone at HHN12
- Universal sign from the Usher’s house ‘Ripped from the Silver Screen’ at HHN19
Easter Eggs in Seeds of Extinction-
- ‘Jack and Eddie’s Sunwear’ , a reference to the past icon Jack and his brother Eddie
- ‘C.J. Mcpherson’s Home Security’, a reference to the photographer from the original Dead Exposure House
- Pumpkin baby
- Good Harvest Daycare’ and ‘Good Harvest Greenhouse’- a reference to the ‘Good Harvest Orphanage’ from ‘The Orfanage: Ashes to Ashes’ at HHN20
- Figment on the daycare floor
- Posters featuring band names ‘The Carey Ohio pops’, ‘The SIF Squad’ and ‘Aiello and the Aiellos’
- and 8. Lightning Gulp stickers, a reference to ‘Ghost Town – Curse of Lightning Gulch’ at HHN26
- A shelf of ‘Ultra Violent Comics’, featuring familiar favourites such as ‘Asylum in Wonderland’
- Let’s all go to the lobby’ poster, a nod to the Usher
And heres a few more interesting things we noticed in Seeds of Extinction –
- Whoever’s desk this was seemed to be going through more than just ‘a personal crisis’ once the plants took over (seems like the creative team had some fun with their choice of reading material
- Some rather foreshadowing writing on the wall
- A real plane is used in this crash scene
- Seems like this letter never got sent, maybe those flowers became less pretty
