Halloween Horror Nights Orlando 28 Rumours
The latest rumours online suggest that Halloween Horror nights 28 at Universal Studios Orlando will run from September 14th to November 3rd. It probably won’t be long until Universal reveal the first house at this years event. In recent years, Halloween Horror nights has had many houses based on some of the biggest horror films, both past and present. This years house lineup is sure to have many houses based on some of the biggest horror films. The big question is, what will the house lineup be this year. Here we will look at some of the most rumoured houses that could come to Halloween Horror nights 28.
American Horror Story: Cult
The American Horror Story houses in the last two years have been extremely popular. The latest series, Cult, is very likely to be represented at Halloween Horror Nights this year. It has been suggested online that the latest series would suit a scare zone more than a house. However, I think it’s most likely that there will be an American Horror Story house at this years event.

Halloween
Halloween is one of the biggest horror films of all time. The main character in the film, Michael Myers, remains one of the most popular horror icons of all time. The Halloween property has been used a few times already at Halloween Horror Nights. The most recent use of this property was at Halloween Horror Nights 26. This house was called Halloween: Hell comes to Haddonfield and was based on the second film in the series. The house was very popular.
Later this year, a new Halloween film will be released. This will be the eleventh Halloween film. With this film set for release near to the start of this years event, it seems very possible that one of this years houses will be based on this new movie.

Stranger Things
Stranger Things is one of the most popular television series in the world at the moment. Fans of this series are desperate to be given the opportunity to visit some of the iconic places from the hit show. I am sure that Universal are desperate to bring Stranger Things to Halloween Horror Nights. Stranger Things is owned and produced by Netflix.
The chances of this house being at this years event depend on whether Universal can come to an agreement with Netflix over the rights to use Stranger Things at Halloween Horror Nights. With the series huge popularity, getting the rights to build a house would probably be extremely expensive. However, the huge popularity of the show would bring loads of new guests to Halloween Horror Nights.

Trick r Treat
Trick r Treat is very much a cult horror film and has a very large, passionate fan base. The character Sam from the film is particularly popular in the horror community. Trick r Treat was a scare zone at last years event. It was the most popular scare zone of the year and one of the best themed scare zones to ever be at the event. With the popularity of last years scare zone and the fact that Universal already has many props and costumes based on this film I thinks it’s very possible that we could see a Trick r Treat house at Halloween Horror Nights 28.

The Thing
This hugely popular horror film was first released in 1982. More recently, a remake of the film was released in 2011. Two houses have been based on The Thing since Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando first started. The first house, The Thing: assimilation acted as a sequel to the original film. This house was at Halloween Horror Nights: Carnival of Carnage, the 17th year of the event. The other house was based on the 2011 remake. This house was at Halloween Horror Nights 21.
Rumours have been circulating that Universal now feel it’s time to bring The Thing back to Halloween Horror Nights. After a seven year absence, I’m sure that many fans would welcome the return of this huge horror film.

The Conjuring
The Conjuring is one of the most popular modern horror film series. Currently, there has been two Conjuring films. Two spinoff films have also been released, Annabelle and Annabelle: Creation.
Despite being heavily rumoured in the last few years, The Conjuring is yet to be featured at Halloween Horror Nights. One of the reasons for this seems to be the fact that the films have been plagued with several legal issues. Until these legal issues are resolved it’s unlikely that The Conjuring will be seen at the event. It is hard to know what the legal situation is, but it has been recently suggested that good progress is being made in their legal battle. If this is the case, then maybe Halloween Horror Nights 28 could be the year we see The Conjuring.

Nightmare on Elm Street
Nightmare on Elm Street is one of the most popular horror films of all time. This film was last featured as a house at Halloween Horror Nights: Carnival of Carnage. More recently, the main character from the film Freddy Krueger was featured at Halloween Horror Nights 25 in the Freddy vs Jason house. With the huge popularity of the Nightmare on Elm Street film it is always mentioned when it comes to predicting the house lineup at Halloween Horror Nights. With it now being several years since the last Nightmare on Elm Street house this year seems like it could be a good time for a return. A Nightmare on Elm Street house will always be a popular and welcome addition to the event.

IT
IT is probably one of the biggest horror properties to have never been featured at Halloween Horror Nights. In 2017 the famous story written by Stephen King was made into a film. The film was extremely popular and did very well at the box office.
Last years event, was the first time that a house was produced based on a Stephen King property . This, of course, was the very popular house based on The Shining. It was always suggested that Universal had tried but failed many times to get the rights to build a house based on a Stephen King property. With the breakthrough of Universal securing the rights to The Shining last year it seems more likely that Universal will now be able to secure the rights to designing a house based on IT.
