The tradition of celebrating New Year’s Eve within a Disney park began with a modest, yet historic event on December 31, 1957 in Disneyland. Today, this has developed into a multi-park, multi-resort event. This first New Year’s Eve gala marked a pivotal moment in the park’s history, as it has today became one of the most anticipated annual celebrations, drawing tens of thousands of visitors over the decades.
