D23 Parks Announcements: Is It Enough?

D23 is an exciting event for any fan of Disney. But for us theme park fans, there’s one part of the weekend that we all look forward to the most. That is, of course, the Disney Experiences Showcase. However, at the past couple of conventions, this panel has been dominated by what Disney refer to as blue sky cellar ideas. So, as many of us suspected due to the nature of these announcements, many of these were scrapped before they ever became a reality. This was a pretty bad look for the company. Therefore, this year, when Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro took the stage for the panel, he was sure to let us know that shovels were on the ground this time. So, before I even get into exploring the excitement of the announcements themselves, this simple fact is an exciting one alone, as it seems this time, we are actually going to get what was announced. So, what exactly is this?
