Alton Towers should be the best theme park in the UK. It has world-class roller coasters, incredible scenery, and decades of history. But in recent years something has gone wrong. Ride breakdowns, long queues, rising prices, and fewer attractions have left many visitors feeling frustrated — and sometimes bitter. In this video I take a closer look at what’s really happening at Alton Towers, why so many rides seem to be unreliable, and whether Merlin is investing enough to keep the park at the standard guests expect. Because Alton Towers isn’t a lost cause. But if things don’t change, it could lose its crown as the UK’s biggest theme park.
