Alton Towers Resort is often hailed as the UK’s ultimate theme park – and it’s not hard to see why. From the family friendly cbeebies land to record-breaking or world’s first roller coasters, the park is packed with experiences that keep people coming back year after year. But with so many rides to choose from, it got me thinking: which ones really stand out above the rest?
So, I’ve put together this ranking of what I consider to be the 17 major rides at Alton Towers. I won’t be covering every single attraction – things like small flat rides aren’t included – because the focus here is on the big hitters that most people think of when they picture the park. I’ll work my way through them from worst to best, giving each a fair spot on the list. Some entries will be quicker to cover than others, but the fun is in seeing how they all stack up against each other.
