At the D23 expo in Japan this weekend the head of Disney Parks Bob Chapek announced more details on some new projects being built at the Disney Parks around the world. Here we will take a look at what was announced.
Anaheim
- Pixar Pier at Disney’s California Adventure will open on June 23rd
- Disneyland’s Pixar fest starts on April 13th.
- The new Incredibes float will be added to Disney’s Paint the night parade in June.
Orlando
Hollywood Studios-
- Toy story land is still set to open this summer.
- Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway will open next year.
- The immersive Star Wars hotel set to be built by Disney will be directly connected to the A Galaxy’s Edge land.
Epcot-
- The new Guardians of the Galaxy coaster at Epcot will open in 2021. It will be a brand new style of roller coaster and one of the longest indoor coasters in the world.
Hong Kong
- Buzz lightyear in Disneyland Hong Kong will be re-themed to Ant-man. The ride will be based on guests helping Ant-man and the Wasp in a battle against Arnim Zola and his Hydra swarm bots.
Paris
- Rock n roller coaster in Disneyland Paris will be rethemed to the Avengers. It was also suggested that Iron Man will be the lead character in the new story being developed for the ride.
